We’re planning to replace the existing Job Notes area with a much more useful Activity Log, giving teams a single chronological view of everything that has happened on a job.
Potential improvements include:
Complete job history – automatically record key events such as job creation, scheduling, status changes, staff allocation, time tracking, documents, reports and job completion.
Internal staff notes – add private notes directly into the activity timeline, with clear author and timestamp information.
Email from jobs – send customer emails directly from a job on the dashboard or mobile app and keep a record of the conversation against that job.
Customer email replies – bring replies back into WorkNinja so staff can view and continue conversations without searching through separate inboxes.
SMS & customer messaging – send messages from a job and provide customers with a simple way to reply, with responses appearing back against the relevant job.
Customer communication history – keep outgoing and incoming messages alongside operational job activity so everything is available in one place.
Unread messages & notifications – clearly highlight when a customer has replied and notify the relevant staff or office team.
Dashboard & mobile access – make the same job history and communication tools available to both office and field users.
Improved audit trail – retain a reliable history of important job activity and customer communications.
The aim is to turn each job into a complete record of activity and communication, reducing reliance on separate notes, emails and messaging systems while making it easier for everyone involved to understand what has happened on a job.
